In Spring, a councillor suggested that administrative staff at the RM of Corman Park received an unauthorized pay increase, in 2012 worth more than $300,000.

A ratepayer then filed a criminal complaint.

RCMP found no evidence for a criminal investigation.

According to the RM, the wage increases had been approved by its council human resources committee and the extra pay is attributed to filling vacant positions with well-qualified employees.

Reeve Judy Harwood is “extremely pleased that the results of this investigation have proven that there was no wrongdoing by council or administration and that the RM can move on from this unnecessary distraction and added costs.
