Craveiro allegedly pulled out a knife and stabbed one of the women and assaulted the other before he fled.

Police were called at about 3:30 a.m. and took the 24-year-old stabbing victim to hospital in critical condition. Her condition has since been upgraded to stable. The other woman didn’t need medical attention, police said.

Craveiro was arrested Monday and has been charged with two counts of attempted murder, assault and possessing a weapon for a dangerous purpose. He’s being held at the Winnipeg Remand Centre.
