Prince Albert crash victim gives birth, dies

PRINCE ALBERT, Sask. – Two Prince Albert residents are dead and a newborn baby is in a Saskatoon hospital after a two vehicle crash on Sunday.

Around 2:30 a.m., emergency services were called to a crash at the intersection of 28th Street and 12th Avenue East in PA.

Two female occupants from Prince Albert were in one vehicle.

Taylor Litwin, 21, was the driver and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The second occupant, 17-year-old Brandy Lepine, was pregnant and transported to Victoria Hospital in serious condition.

Lepine was later transferred to the Royal University Hospital (RUH) in Saskatoon.

Police say medical staff assisted Lepine in the delivery of her baby before she passed away. Her baby is in serious condition.

Jeremiah Jobb, 21, was the driver of the second vehicle involved in the collision.

Jobb has been charged with two counts of impaired driving causing death and exceeding .08 BAC causing death. His next court appearance has been scheduled on July 22.

The investigation is still ongoing and anyone who with information is asked to contact PA police at 306-953-4222.
