TORONTO — Canadian pop star Carly Rae Jepsen was left red-faced Sunday after throwing out the ceremonial first pitch at a Tampa Bay Rays game and missing the mound.

The 27-year-old from Mission, B.C. likely won’t get a call (maybe?) from major league scouts after tossing the ball far to the left, where it rolled along the ground and hit a photographer’s spare camera.

Jepsen owned up to the foul, exclaiming “Oh no!” before covering her face, laughing and raising her hands in the air.

The singer was consoled by Rays pitcher Matt Moore with a hug.

Jepsen’s record is 1-0 for ceremonial pitches. In April she threw a strike before a Baltimore Orioles vs. Minnesota Twins game.
