Ryan Reynolds talks about becoming a dad

TORONTO — Canadian actor Ryan Reynolds has revealed he wants to be a father — and not to just one or two children.

“We’d love to have a big family,” Reynolds said in an interview published in the new issue of Details.

The 36-year-old Vancouver native married actress Blake Lively, 25, in September 2012.

“We both come from big families — my parents did four, Blake’s did five,” explained Reynolds. “A lot of people say it’s crazy, but we’ll only know when we’re there, you know? We’ll walk through that fire pretty happily, I think.”

Reynolds told the magazine he hopes at least one of his children is a girl.

“I’m terrified that I’m genetically predisposed to only having boys,” he said. “That’s frightening. By the time I was 10 years old, and I’m not exaggerating, I knew how to patch drywall. There’s nothing my brothers and I didn’t put a hole in. That’s something I’m not looking forward to.”
