Tornado watch continues for Hudson Bay, Porcupine Plain areas

SASKATOON – A tornado warning issued for the R.M. of Torch River, including Choiceland and White Fox, has ended.

Environment Canada was tracking a tornado 5 kilometres north of Choiceland that was moving southeast at 20 km/h.

A tornado watch has ended for the Melfort, Tisdale, Nipiwan and Carrot River areas but continues for Hudson Bay and Porcupine Plain.

Officials at the agency say conditions are favourable for the development of funnel clouds or weak tornadoes in those areas.
