Mike Green up for Norris Trophy


Former Saskatoon Blades defenceman, Mike Green, has been nominated for the NHL's Norris Trophy. It's the second straight year that the 24-year old has been nominated for the prestigious award – given annually to the best defensive player in the league. Green lost last year to Zdeno Chara of the Boston Bruins.

So is he up against this time around?

He'll have his hands full as Drew Doughty (LA Kings) and Duncan Keith (Chicago) have all been nominated as well.

I'm a big Mike Green fan so he'd have my vote from a biased perspective but if I had to step back and make the decision with no bias… I'd give the award to Drew Doughty.
