The Devon Lions Campground and Voyageur Park were evacuated and closed, forcing about 2,000 people to leave the campground.
The Town of Devon says people can return to the campground once notice has been given by the RCMP. Campers are being advised to fill up with water and dump septic tanks before returning to the campground.
People are being asked to stay away from river banks and supervise children at all times.
Information on water and sani-dump can be found on the Town of Devon website.
River Valley Trails and Voyageur park remains closed. The park is expected to reopen by the Canada Day long weekend.
