Bear too close to northern Saskatchewan school shot

LA RONGE, Sask. – Conservation officers have set out live bear traps in northern Saskatchewan.

Seven bears have been spotted wandering in public areas in the La Ronge area this week.

An officer had to shoot and kill a three-year-old black bear after it got too close to a school on Wednesday.

The children were inside the school at the time.
