Rogers unveils pricing plan for iPhones

Rogers Communications unveiled new data plans designed to work with the launch of its much anticipated iPhone – and the pricing plans line up with details that were leaked to the media earlier this month.
As expected, Rogers Wireless and its sister service Fido are offering four pricing levels, ranging from a $60 monthly plan that offers 150 minutes of voice airtime and up to 400 megabytes of data, to a $115 plan that includes 800 minutes of voice time and 2 gigabytes of data.
All plans require users to sign up for a three-year contract.
The details confirm those that were leaked on a Web site and widely reported this month.
The new generation 3G iPhones are designed to offer faster wireless internet access, built-in GPS, and upgraded operating system for the handset.
The iPhone has been a huge hit for Apple Computer in countries where the handset is already available. Rogers’ stock jumped 2% on April 29, the day the company announced it would introduce the phone in Canada.
