TORONTO — Stars like Liam Hemsworth, John Malkovich and Billy Bob Thornton are in Edmonton this month working on the feature film Cut Bank.
Australia-born actor Hemsworth (The Hunger Games) stars as Dwayne McLaren, a former high school athlete working as an auto mechanic in the titular Montana town who dreams of moving to a big city. Instead, he finds himself caught up in a series of deadly events.

Filming is taking place at Edmonton’s Film Alberta Studio and at locations in and around the capital until July 18.
The thriller also stars Teresa Palmer, Bruce Dern and Ontario-born Oliver Platt.
Hemsworth, 23, is the fiance of Miley Cyrus. The pair were photographed out together in Los Angeles on June 17.
