Peel Regional Police say a 54-year-old man is dead after being a hit by a car in Brampton Saturday evening.
Emergency crews responded to the area of Bovaird Drive and Brisdale Drive after receiving reports of a collision around 9 p.m.

Paramedics transported one man to local hospital in critical condition.
He was later pronounced dead.
Police said the driver of the vehicle remained at the scene of the collision. No charges have been laid.
Roads were closed in the area for the investigation, but have since reopened.
