A north Edmonton grocery store was hit with a firebomb early Monday morning.
A flaming molotov cocktail was tossed through a window near the bakery department of Save on Foods at 129 Street and 153 Avenue just before 1 a.m.
Although the sprinkler system went off, keeping the fire confined in the bakery area, smoke caused at least $100,000 in damage.
A janitor in the store at the time called 911 and the Edmonton Police Service arson squad is now investigating.
