Brothers died in rural Manitoba fire

A fire at a home just east of Elie, Man., on Saturday killed two elderly brothers, Headlingley RCMP say.

Emergency services were sent to the rural property at about 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.

They found two deceased men in the home.

The men have been identified as the 85-year-old homeowner and his 73-year-old brother, who was from Crossfield, Alta.

RCMP and the Manitoba Office of the Fire Commissioner continue to investigate the fire but do not consider it suspicious.

Police are not releasing the names of the victims.
