Three injured after van hit building at Sherbrook and Ellice

WINNIPEG – An adult and two children were taken to hospital in critical condition after a van drove into a building at Sherbrook Street and Ellice Avenue shortly before 6 a.m. Tuesday.

Police closed the intersection, redirecting traffic a block away on every side.

The van hit the main entrance to Sherbrook Foods, collapsing the front of the vehicle.

Police were speaking to several witnesses at the crash site.

“At this point, we have no indication any other vehicles were involved,” Patrol Sgt. Rob Duttchen said.

Crash reconstruction experts worked at the scene and the intersection remained closed until late in the morning.
