LeBlanc died after he was hit by a boom truck on the Maison Fiset construction site in Cheticamp in August 2010.
MacPhee pleaded not guilty but was convicted in Port Hood provincial court in February.
As part of his sentence, MacPhee must make a $1,000 donation to the Dylan LeBlanc trust fund, conduct three presentations to relevant industry forums and take training programs specific to traffic controls in the workplace.
A construction worker and company officials were previously sentenced in the case.
