MINK COVE, N.S. – Police say a man was killed early today after he was thrown from his car when it went off a highway in Nova Scotia’s Digby County.
RCMP say they were called to the accident on Highway 217 in Mink Cove at about 6:25 a.m.

Officers say the man was the only person in the car and it’s not clear why it left the road.
Emergency health crews and fire services responded, but he died at the scene.
A traffic analyst is assisting with the investigation.
