Police said officers were called to the area of Rivermont Road and Financial Drive, near Highway 407 and Mississauga Road, at 10:25 p.m for reports of gunshots.

The victim was found a few streets away — on Lionhead Golf Club Road — with serious injuries and was rushed to a trauma centre, officials said.

A police spokesperson told Global News it is unclear if the shooting occurred on Lionhead Golf Club Road, or if the shooting occurred elsewhere and the victim was just located there.
