Llamas rounded up in south Edmonton

Residents in south Edmonton got a bit of a surprise on Thursday afternoon when several llamas wandered into their neighbourhood.

A Global viewer captured several shots of the creatures munching on his neighbour’s front lawn in the the Ellerslie Crossing neighborhood around noon.

Police have now rounded up the animals.

Residents in the area had a same experience last September when a herd of llamas escaped from a neighbouring farm.

Last week a herd of bison caused a stir near Camrose when they escaped from a local farm. Four of those animals are still on the loose.
