KELOWNA — An upsetting and emotional day for family members of an Okanagan shooting victim, as an unexpected development forces a lengthy delay in the trial of Keith Wiens.
He’s the retired RCMP officer accused of murdering his common-law wife, Lynn Kalmring, about two years ago in Penticton.

The second degree murder trial of Wien’s entered its third week today, when an issue arose that had the judge dismiss the jury until next Monday.
Two of Kalmring’s sisters burst into tears in the courtroom at the unexpected development and delay.
“It’s just another line of heartbreak for our whole family” says the victim’s sister Margaret Leslie.
The cause of the delay can’t be released, as it was discussed in absence of the jury
