A psychiatric assessment has found that Allyson McConnell, the Millet mother accused of killing her two young sons, is fit to stand trial.
The Millet mother has been charged with second degree murder in the deaths of 10-month-old Jayden, and 2-year-old Connor who were found dead in the McConnell’s home on February 1st.
Allyson McConnell has been staying at Alberta Hospital since February, and did not appear in the Wetaskiwin court room where the assessment was discussed. She is scheduled to appear in court on August 17th.
Allyson McConnell and her husband Curtis were reportedly involved in divorce proceedings when the children died.
