SASKATOON – A Saskatoon man accused of beating his friend to death in 2010 has been found guilty of manslaughter.
Jake Ottertail was originally charged with second-degree murder of his friend, Bert Haverkort.

Court heard that Ottertail and Haverkort got into an argument that escalated to physical violence.
The judge in the case ruled that Ottertail was provoked by a racial slur.
He is to be sentenced next month.
