Carolyn Jarvis

Carolyn Jarvis is thrilled to be back in her home province of BC, where she is a correspondent for Global National and for 16:9, Global’s weekly newsmagazine. She also anchors the Saturday edition of Global National.

Before her current gig, Carolyn spent more than three years as a news reporter and anchor at Global Edmonton. She also briefly worked at RDTV (now CHCA News Red Deer), before joining Global Edmonton in the spring of 2005.

Winning a major national award in 2006 for her feature on Edmonton Symphony Orchestra conductor Bill Eddins, was the natural outgrowth of Carolyn’s training in the arts. In 2007, the Alberta Motion Picture Industries Association (AMPIA) nominated Carolyn, under the category of “Best News Feature,” for her piece on a skydiving dog. Carolyn’s ability to tell compelling stories is highly regarded in the industry.
