Peel Regional Police say a man has died and two people have been critically injured after a shooting by a Highway 410 ramp in Mississauga.
Police said emergency crews were called to the northbound ramp at Derry Road just before 9:50 p.m. on Tuesday.
Investigators said the vehicle was getting off the highway ramp onto Derry Road and looking to turn west when another dark-coloured vehicle approached it firing multiple gunshots.
Peel Paramedics told Global News one of the victims was found without vital signs. Two others were rushed to hospital in life-threatening condition.
Investigators said that a man, who was a passenger in the vehicle, was later pronounced dead.
On Friday, police identified the man killed as 28-year-old Brampton resident Giovanni Delahaye.
The other two injured victims were a 17-year-old boy and a 26-year-old woman, police said.
Investigators have no suspect descriptions and are appealing to any witnesses to come forward and call police at 905-453–2121 ext. 3205 or Crime Stoppers anonymously.
Officers have opened Derry Road between Tomken and Kennedy roads, as well as the highway ramp following the investigation.
