Toronto police say a 36-year-old man has died in hospital following a shooting in the city’s west end Saturday night.
Police said emergency crews were called to the area of Windermere Avenue and Swansea Meadows around 7:45 p.m. for reports of a shooting.
Toronto police Duty Insp. Jim Gotell told Global News the man was located in the driver’s seat of a vehicle with several gunshot wounds.
Paramedics performed life-saving measures on the victim before transporting him to a trauma centre in critical condition.
Police said a white sedan was seen leaving the area. There is no word yet on suspects.
Homicide has been called in to investigate.
