BRAMPTON – Peel police say a 15-year-old boy has pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in a brazen shooting two years ago in Brampton.
Kearn Nedd, 28, was fatally shot on April 16, 2011, while trying to assist in apprehending one of two suspects during an armed robbery at a poker tournament.

Police say the shooting at the Rozz Banquet Hall occurred in broad daylight in front of more than 130 people.

The boy, who was 14 at the time of the offence, entered the guilty plea in Brampton court on Thursday.
Three men charged in Nedd’s slaying are still in custody awaiting trial.
