Hamilton police say a “Chinese citizen” who was believed to have been abducted earlier this week has been found safe.
In a release on Wednesday morning, investigators revealed that 18-year-old Ling Jie Huang was “located safely in the York Region.”
The McMaster University student was last seen leaving her residence near the Meadowlands on Sunday before police issued an alert about a possible abduction.
Despite locating Huang, police say the investigation is still active.
