The Ministry of Agriculture says seeding advanced in all regions of the province and precipitation ranged from trace amounts to over two inches in the southeast region.

Compared to last week’s eight per cent seeding completion, Saskatchewan farmers have made significant progress.

The previous crop report stated most areas were a week to a couple of weeks behind and progress was at half of the five-year average (2008-2012).

Minimal precipitation was reported in most areas the previous week which allowed wet fields to dry and seeding to progress.
