Lianne Rood of the Conservative Party has been elected in Lambton-Kent-Middlesex, taking over from longtime Conservative MP Bev Shipley who announced he would not be seeking re-election.
A large riding in southwestern Ontario, this district is bordered by Lake Huron in the north and the Thames River in the south and extends out to Lake St. Clair, excluding a section of Lambton County surrounding Sarnia.

Shipley served the riding since 2006 before announcing he would not run in the 2019 election. Prior to the Conservatives’ victory in 2006, longtime Liberal MP Rose-Marie Ur had held the riding since 1997.
The largest population centres in this riding are the western suburbs of London (Strathroy, Komoka) and the town of Wallaceburg.
