NIAGARA-ON-THE-LAKE – Police say a woman who was hit by a pickup truck in an alleged hit-and-run in Niagara-on-the-Lake over the weekend has died in hospital.
Niagara Regional Police say the 33-year-old had been walking on the side of the road near Concession 7 Road and Line 6 when she was struck by a dark truck on Saturday around 11 p.m.
They allege the truck didn’t stop and drove away from the scene.
Officers say the woman was taken to hospital with critical injuries, where she died on Monday.
Police say the truck they’re looking for may have been damaged and could be missing the passenger-side mirror.
They’re asking anyone with information to come forward.
