TORONTO – A man died early Monday morning after falling from a BIXI bike he was riding.
The man was riding a BIXI bike at Underpass Park near Lower River Street underneath the Gardiner Expressway.
The park includes a new skateboard and bike park created by the city and the man is believed to have been riding his BIXI bike through the park with friends.
Witnesses say the man tried to ride his bike off a ramp at the park and landed on his head.
He was not wearing a helmet.
Paramedics performed CPR but it was unsuccessful and the man was pronounced dead at the park.
