Japan surprised Olympic fans with their men’s soccer (aka football) win 1-0 against Spain at Glasgow’s Hampden Park. The Spanish team was considered a favourite for the gold medal having won the last three major football tournaments as well as 2011’s European Under-21 Championship, but Japan’s Yuki Otsu scored the only goal of Thursday’s match.
