Wife of Tim Bosma says she is ‘broken’

TORONTO – “I am broken because part of me is gone.”

Sharlene Bosma, the wife of Tim Bosma, who disappeared last week, spoke as she openly cried during a press conference at her Ancaster church Wednesday afternoon.

“Yesterday was the most horrifying day of my life,” she said.

Police announced Tuesday that her husband, Tim was found dead and badly burned somewhere in the Waterloo Region.

But Sharlene said she was still thankful.

“This was not our desired outcome,” she said. “But I am still grateful to the police for finding him.”

Police wouldn’t confirm where he was found, but have been investigating a field in Ayr, Ontario and at least one hangar at Waterloo International Airport – both of which are owned by Dellen Millard.

Millard was arrested on Friday while driving in Mississauga.

Millard looked tired and was unshaven when he appeared in a Hamilton court on Wednesday, where he was charged with first-degree murder.

He was also charged with forcible confinement and theft over $5,000.

His lawyer, Deepak Paradkar, said outside the court that Millard will plead not guilty.

Bosma went missing last week after he left his home to take two men on a test drive of 2007 Dodge Ram pickup truck.

Video evidence suggests another car was following Bosma’s truck, police said.

“People tell me I have been so strong and all I know is that I have a beautiful 2-year-old girl at home who now needs her mommy more than ever and needs her mommy to hold it together, so I know that I cannot fall apart,” Sharlene said.

She remembered her husband as someone who was loved by family, friends and “perfect strangers.”

“His daughter will grow up knowing how much he loved her, and how he would sometimes watch her sleep or chase her through the house to tickle,” Sharlene said.
