TORONTO — Kiefer Sutherland has rebounded quickly from the cancellation of his series Touch — he’s set to star in a reboot of 24.
The Toronto-raised actor will reprise his role as Jack Bauer in a limited-run series entitled 24: Live Another Day.

“Jack is back,” Fox entertainment chairman Kevin Reilly told reporters during a conference call Monday, announcing the series will debut in May 2014.
24 ran for eight seasons from 2001 to 2010 and Sutherland starred in the 2008 TV movie 24: Redemption.
Fox has ordered 12 new episodes.
Canadian actress Elisha Cuthbert appeared in 79 episodes of 24 as Jack’s daughter Kim.
Ottawa-raised director Jon Cassar helmed 59 episodes of the original series as well as the TV movie.
