SASKATOON – There are money troubles at the University of Saskatchewan which has approved an operating budget with a projected deficit of $3.3 million.
The university says projected revenue is just under $468 million, but operating expenses are expected to come in at more than $471 million for the next school year.

The Saskatoon school says the deficit would be higher without job and program cuts already made to save money.
The University of Saskatchewan also plans to save $2 million by putting off some planned spending for infrastructure renewal.
A tuition increase averaging 4.5 per cent was announced in March.
The budget details come as the university tries to address a projected $44.5-million annual deficit in its operating budget by 2016.
