TORONTO – Multiple people were taken to hospital following a two vehicle collision on the eastbound Gardiner Expressway, east of Highway 427 early Thursday morning.
Traffic Services says the crash happened around 4 a.m. when a car struck a broken down vehicle in a live lane of traffic.
EMS confirms two victims were extricated and taken to a trauma centre.
A third victim was also extricated and taken to St. Mike’s with lower body injuries.
Two eastbound right lanes were closed to traffic for several hours due to the clean-up.
All lanes have been reopened as of 6:05 a.m.
