Water meter reading begins Wednesday

WINNIPEG – Water meter readers will be visiting Winnipeg homes starting Wednesday and continuing until the end of August.

Meter readers, who wear photo identification, will visit homes weekdays between 2:30 p.m. and dusk.

They dress  in dark blue pants or shorts and a light blue striped shirt with a City of Winnipeg Water and Waste logo over the pocket.

Residents are encouraged to check the identification of the meter reader, who carries a hand-held computer, before letting the person into a home.

Meter readers do not collect money.
