Border City pedestrian collision turns fatal

LLOYDMINSTER – A motorist is facing impaired driving charges after a pedestrian collision in the Border City on Saturday.

In the early morning, RCMP were called to 44th Street where a pedestrian had been hit by a vehicle.

A 29-year-old woman was found with serious injuries and was taken to hospital where she succumbed to her injuries.

Jason Wallace Campbell, 32, of Lloydminster has been charged with impaired driving causing death, dangerous driving causing death, public mischief and obstruction.

Campbell has been scheduled to appear in provincial court in Lloydminster on Tuesday.
