RCMP in Anglemont say two deaths were a murder-suicide

RCMP are saying two deaths in Anglemont are homicides.

RCMP in the Shuswap town of Anglemont are now calling the death of two people a murder-suicide.

Police were called to a home on Tuesday night, where they found the bodies of a 45-year-old woman and 15-year-old boy.

RCMP have confirmed that this tragic event was a murder-suicide, says Cst. Lesley Smith, of the North District RCMP.

The crime scene posed a number of challenges for members and after a lengthy investigation, with the assistance of the RCMP Forensic Identification Unit, police were able to confirm this unfortunate outcome.

RCMP say the names are not being released at the request of the family.
