UPDATE: More victims identified after two fatal Kelowna crashes

KELOWNA, BC – UPDATE: RCMP have now identified two more people killed in motor vehicle accidents in Kelowna this past weekend.

Robert Perry George, 54, of Kelowna was killed when he was struck while walking across Highway 33 Friday evening. The driver did not see George walking in dark clothes. He was transported to hospital, where he died from his injuries.

Saturday at 3:25 a.m., two people were killed when a motorcycle struck a turning car.

The driver, 25-year-old Desiree Janette MacPherson, was killed instantly. A 23-year-old passenger was seriously injured, but is expected to survive.

David Robert Potts, 32, was operating the motorcycle at a high rate of speed, according to RCMP. He was also not wearing an approved helmet. He died from his injuries.

Police say the northbound car was attempting to make a left turn from Glenmore Road onto Mountain Avenue and was struck by the southbound motorcycle.
