Snowy, wet weather in Manitoba

Snowfall warnings have been issued in parts of southwest, central and northern Manitoba.

Early expectations of 10-15 centimetres have already been exceeded, with Environment Canada reporting 20 cm in Dauphin and 15 in McCreary by 10:30 a.m.

Snow started early this morning in areas including Dauphin and Neepawa, as well as parts of central Manitoba.

Snow in Dauphin is expected to continue through the day and the evening, with flurries lingering until morning.

Snowfall warnings included Interlake communities such as Arborg, Hecla , Fisher River, Gypsumville and Ashern.

In Winnipeg, rain was changing to wet snow in the afternoon. Rainfall amounts expected in the 10 to 15 mm range. Wind northeast 20 km/h becoming northwest 30 gusting to 50 this afternoon. Temperature falling to plus 1 this afternoon.
