Edmonton – Apologies for having missed my Sunday Morning News Tech Talk show from Hawaii folks. We had technical difficulties.

I wanted to catch you up on a very capable camera, the 20.3 megapixel Samsung NX300, the latest of the NX line, coming into stores now for $899 in Silver/Black, Brown or White, with a well-designed zoom lens.

I have been using one in my recent Italy and Amsterdam tech trips and currently in Hawaii and I can attest to its key features that yield professional looking pictures under the most challenging circumstances.

The NX300 has a professional grade size sensor, similar to Canon Rebel and prosumer digital SLR models, only in a much smaller package, one of the thinnest ones around.

Its large bright touch screen tilting viewfinder and over 8 frames per second engine make taking the impossible pictures possible. Samsung has armed the NX300 with a comprehensive editing suite for polishing photos on-camera with a large number of standard filters plus dozens of special effect ones.

Samsung’s new NX 45mm F1.8 2D/3D all-in-one lens allows you to shoot 3D pictures and play them back to 3D TV from camera.

One big improvement over the previous NX300 is the WiFi capability to connect online and email or upload pictures to Facebook, Picasa, Photobucket, or send video to You Tube can also have you pictures automatically back up to you networked home PC.

It comes with a removable flash (that’s how small the camera body is) and a remarkably long lasting battery.

There is much more online to explore about the NX300, check it online.  But suffice to say, it walks the walk.
