A man is dead and a woman is in critical condition after they were thrown from their vehicle in a crash near High River on Tuesday morning.
The single-vehicle rollover happened at around 9:15 a.m. on Highway 23 and 176 Street, about 10 kilometres east of Highway 2.

High River RCMP said a 47-year-old man from Vulcan, Alta., was pronounced dead at the scene. A woman was taken by STARS Air Ambulance to hospital in Calgary with serious, life-threatening injuries, RCMP said in a media release Tuesday night.
The cause of the rollover remains under investigation, but RCMP said charges are not anticipated.
High River is about 65 kilometres south of Calgary.
