ROUYN-NORANDA, Que. – Joel Teasdale scored twice and Justin Bergeron had three assists as the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies beat the Rimouski Oceanic 5-1 on Friday in the opener of their Quebec Major Junior Hockey League third-round series.

Felix Bibeau, Jakub Lauko and Jacob Neveu also scored for the Huskies, who are playing the series without leading score Peter Abbandonato because of a mononucleosis diagnosis earlier in the week.

Samuel Harvey made 31 saves for Rouyn-Noranda.

Jimmy Huntington found the back of the net for the Oceanic.

Colten Ellis stopped 16-of-19 shots in 24:07 of action for Rimouski before giving way to Tristan Berube, who made 22 saves in relief.

The Huskies went 2 for 9 on the power play while the Oceanic were 0 for 5 with the man advantage.

DRUMMONDVILLE, Que. — Felix Lauzon set up two goals, then added an insurance marker as the Voltigeurs toppled Halifax in Game 1 of their third-round matchup.

Pierre-Olivier Joseph and Pavel Koltygin also scored for Drummondville, which got 23 saves from Anthony Morrone.

Keith Getson hit the scoresheet for the Mooseheads. Alexis Gravel turned aside 38 shots in defeat.
