Anti-Syrian regime protests worldwide

TORONTO – A Syrian offensive aimed at crushing rebels in the battered city of Homs continued Friday, with soldiers who have been bombarding the city for the past six days making their first ground move to seize one of the most restive neighborhoods. Syrian rebels and anti-Syrian regime protesters took to the streets in a show of strength during demonstrations in Idlib, Syria on Friday. They were joined by protesters throughout Lebanon, who marched in protest of the Syrian regime in Beirut, Tripoli and Sidon, to show solidarity with the Syrian people. There was also a rally outside the Syrian embassy in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia to condemn the killing by the Syrian regime.
