VICTORIAVILLE, Que. – Joel Teasdale had a hat trick as the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies downed the Victoriaville Tigres 6-2 on Thursday to win their Quebec Major Junior Hockey League playoff series.

Rouyn-Noranda swept the best-of-seven series in four games.

Felix Bibeau put away the eventual winner at 1:21 of the second period for the Huskies, who will face the winner of the Drummondville-Sherbrooke series.

Peter Abbandonato and Alex Beaucage also scored as Samuel Harvey made 21 saves for the win.

Isaiah Gallo-Demetris and Mikhail Abramov scored for the Tigres. Fabio Iacobo combined with Tristan Cote-Cazenave for 29 saves for Victoriaville.

Rouyn-Noranda went 4 for 6 on the power play and Victoriaville was 0 for 3 with the man advantage.

SYDNEY, N.S. — Olivier Garneau scored twice as Rimouski downed Cape Breton to take a 3-1 series lead.

D’Artagnan Joly had the game-winning goal for the Oceanic at 13:35 of the third period. Jeffrey Durocher and Cedric Pare also scored.

Shawn Boudrias and Kyle Havlena replied for the Screaming Eagles.
