CALGARY – The Calgary Fire Department is investigating the cause of a diesel spill in the city’s southeast, Friday morning.
About 250 liters of diesel fuel were leaked in the 5000 block of 13th Street S.E. around 7:30 a.m., making its way into a storm sewer.

People on scene worked to contain as much of the fuel as they could before firefighters arrived.
The fire department’s Hazardous Materials Team was able to work with The City of Calgary Water Services to contain the fuel in a catch system.
