Calgary police say excessive speed is considered a factor in a motorcycle crash on Crowchild Trail on Thursday that seriously injured the driver.
The crash happened in the southbound lanes of Crowchild Trail at Memorial Drive N.W. at around 7 p.m.
In a Friday news release, the Calgary Police Service (CPS) said it’s believed the driver failed to negotiate a turn, striking a trailer-mounted traffic control device.
The motorcyclist was taken to hospital in serious, life-threatening condition, according to police.
