Obama attends memorial for victims of Texas fertilizer plant explosion

WACO, Texas – President Barack Obama, U.S. Senator John Cornyn and Texas Governor Rick Perry speak at a memorial Thursday afternoon, held for victims of last week’s deadly fertilizer plant blast.

Fourteen people are known to have died in the plant blast, while hundreds others were injured.

Firefighters and other first responders were among those killed when the blast levelled the factory in the town of West and much of the surrounding area.
