A U.S. fishing boat has collided with the Royal Canadian navy ship HMCS Winnipeg docked at Canadian Forces Base Esquimalt, near Victoria.

The collision involved the Seattle-based fishing trawler American Dynasty and the HMCS Winnipeg.

The accident appeared to leave the bow of the fishing boat embedded in the forward side of the Canadian frigate.

It’s not immediately know what led to the collision.
